Title: Starship Titanic
Post by: Kilman on December 30, 2010, 05:38:45 AM
Aside from being what I think is one of the best video games of all time (mind you, my opinions in this realm are not thought of highly), Starship Titanic had a companion novel written by Terry Jones (of Python fame, also featured as the voice of the parrot in the game).  You can find the entire novel online (completely legal - honest - but maybe not as enjoyable as the printed version) here: http://www.starshiptitanic.com/novel/ (http://www.starshiptitanic.com/novel/)

I actually own the book, but I've never managed to encounter the game. The book was pretty good, from what I recall, but I should read it again.

We have the book too.  When we got the game it came in a special edition package which included the book, the game, a strategy guide, and the book on tape.  Quite a deal considering I only paid $20.

Try the link for the book anyway.  It is something of a joke rather than anything you can read.

...Whoa :o If that's real, it's extremely impressive, and even if it's fake, it's a pretty convincing one.

Unfortunately, the "Yoz's Original Collapsible Travelling Punctuation-In-Place-Alphabetiser" at the end, appears to be broken or no longer online.  Oh well...
