We went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs on Towel Day 2008.

Here we are getting our "Last Chance to See"

We also decided to start a new tradition called "Towel Day Surprise"

Approach a complete stranger and ask if they would hold your towel while you take a picture.  Most of them think this means a picture of something else and you just want the towel out of the way.  Then take a picture of said stranger holding your towel.  Afterwards, if they haven’t run away or gone for local law enforcement, we explain what Towel Day is.  I suppose it unlikely that any of these strags started carrying a towel the next year, but you never know.

That's quite a fun idea, about the strags. I'll have to look in to it.
