Molybdenum

Try to say that fast three times, or even once

This, incidentally, is the element with atomic number 42!
Ah, actually, I'm quite familiar with this. I'd read the Guide by the time I was studying the periodic table in school, so I'd always paid special attention to molybdenum.

Just read this on a blog:

1,500 questionnaires were sent out last spring and 475 writers responded. Survey results show that the average age of a first-time published author is 42.

Oh, come to think of it, I copied this off a website years ago:

Directory of selected and good quality UFO cases and reports, including famous cases. This section is under development. There are currently over 420 cases in the directory.

Cool!  :D

One of my kids made me an ornament that is composed of a 10 sided D&D dice and a claw from an old broken dragon figurine.

Neato. Post a picture!  :)

I have another 42 sighting.

The character, Jim West, of the TV show, Wild Wild West, was born July 2nd 1842 according to the headstone Dr. Loveless made for him. I don't have a still of that, but I have a pic of Artemis and Jim.

For anybody who has played Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, I saved up all my bonus experience until chapter 16, and then when I was done raising people to the levels I desired using how much I had saved up, I had 42 bonus experience points left.

Oops, forgot all about getting a picture of the ornament and now they are packed up for next Christmas.  Maybe one of the kids can dig it out.

Anyway, our forum now has 42 topics!

Also, my favorite NFL team won the Superbowl 42 years ago, and although they haven't been back to the Superbowl since then, they will return to the Superbowl if they win this Sunday!
